Hotel Prices
Accommodation on Koh Chang is generally affordable. You can find good hotels for $15–30 a night just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. If you want a bungalow right on the shore, prices usually range from $40 to $120 per night.

Koh Chang prices depend on the season. In some hotels, rates begin rising as early as September, while others increase their prices in November, when the high season officially starts. The same applies to bike rentals — expect higher rates as tourism picks up.
Motorbike Rental Prices

Deposit: either your passport or 5,000 THB in cash.
I rented a Honda ADV160 from BK Travel and Scooter Rental and was very satisfied — they had a good selection, the bike was in excellent condition, and they returned my deposit without any issues.
📲 If you want to book your bike in advance, send the owner a message on WhatsApp. She mentioned that in high season, bikes get booked out quickly.
Gas Prices
Fuel on the island costs almost the same as on the mainland. Gasohol 95 is around 35 THB per liter.
For scooter and motorbike rentals, that means a full tank will only set you back a few dollars — perfect for exploring the island without breaking the bank.
Food Prices
Café prices on the island are almost the same as on the mainland. Thai dishes typically cost 60–80 THB, while drinks range from 10 to 90 THB.

At local eateries, the food is fresh, filling, and served quickly. I usually ate in these places — it’s cheaper and tastier than in tourist-oriented cafés.

Bar Prices
If you’re heading out for a night in the bars, here’s what you can expect to pay:
- Cocktails: 180–220 THB
- Shots: 60–140 THB
- Beer: 90–100 THB
- Cola: 40 THB
The island has two main nightlife areas:
- Walking Street — a small strip with a somewhat tired vibe.
- White Sand Beach street — my personal favorite: lively music and a great atmosphere.
Beach Prices
Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are often free — you just need to order a drink or some food from the beach café. Another option is to pay 100 THB, which usually includes a drink, a lounger, and access to a toilet and shower.
Food and drinks by the sea are more expensive than in regular cafés, but still reasonable. For 200–250 THB, you can enjoy a tasty meal and relax with an ocean view.
Massage right on the beach is a great treat:
- Traditional Thai massage (60 min) — 300 THB
- Oil massage (60 min) — 350 THB
- Back, neck & head massage (60 min) — 350 THB

Tour Prices
The most popular excursions on Koh Chang are sold at Bang Bao Pier. For example, the classic 4 Islands Snorkeling Tour costs 700–750 THB — it’s the program most visitors choose.
The price includes hotel transfer, mask and snorkel rental, lunch, and several stops at beautiful coral reefs.
